    DIY Tractrix Horns

I am interested if any knows people that build these. I see them here and there on DIY projects and with the prices that people pay for the Edgars, I was wondering if there was a cheaper resource.

Hmmm... I've always thought for the amount of effort that goes into making them, Dr. Edgar was giving them away. Have his prices gone up significantly in the last few years? I haven't checked.

I had also figured that for the time & expense of getting them right,
it would be easier/cheaper to simply buy them....

maybe not quicker (or as self-satisfying) though....
(i've heard & read that, like most quality handmade things,
there is somewhat of a backlog to get
examples of the good Dr.'s work....)

does anyone have experience with the ones Matsj linked to?

I think the prices he charges are below what any other company would charge.

They are the ones in my avatar!

There are a few guys on the Klipsch site(http://forums.klipsch.com/) that make timber Tractrix horns. Member Gothover & member greg928GTS can help you. ALK engineering (http://www.alkeng.com/) also make a trachorn.
    Hope this helps,
    John
