Smile JBL 4645 B/C video action thread!

Show me your youtube videos of the JBL 4646 B and C in action!

Here’s one I’ve done already so get you phone camera out or webcam into action and lets have laugh or too.

HULK dust cloth and Sooty going nuts over the deep JBL 4645 LFE.1
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQPJhHgjJvE

LOL I think I need to get a lead for the webcam and then use the ECM8000 for recoding the audio in the room. the phone camera can’t handle the lows not sure from what point but I’m sure a frequency sweep might reveal an answer?

Oh, if you happen to have JBL 4688 lets at least see that in action!

Nice video, and great to see Sooty growing up healthy. Are you sure he wasn't running around because you told him he was being neutered tomorrow?

I have my share of cables here and nine cats. I have found "Leave the cables alone" to do as much good as "Don't stick beans in your nose."

What did the dB read before and after you turned it down?

    Evening Clark

LOL oh, that funny, yes I think Sooty as twigged on, that his nuts are going to be snipped off tomorrow, poor bugger.

Well I didn’t place it within 1 metre range if that’s what you mean?

SPL db was placed about 2.5 meters away and I wasn’t looking at as much until I noticed the opening was FAR to heavy on my body.

115dbc it was rising to on the opening of HULK and that was just part of the Danny Elfman score in the LFE.1 range and there are effects that would be far louder! If I hadn’t noticed it, it could have been curtains for the JBL 4645.

I trimmed it down to about 100dbc that was plentiful.

Also did that crazy moment from Flight of the Phoenix.

The camera phone doesn’t have the frequency response range to handle the lows its heavily distorted when the LFE.1 cuts in.

It sounds better with the Behrenger ECM8000 microphone when selecting audio source before recording. But the webcam can’t be moved around due to short lead.

Level on the mixer was set where I left it with HULK for Phoenix. The dust cloth was dancing around a bit when the airplane does barrel roll.

    Good Evening,

Yes, I agree that it's wonderful to see Sooty up and about, and being himself again. He's a lovely Lad, that's for sure! Oh, dear.... snip-snip, for him in the offing, I see!! Should we all send flowers, and maybe a bit of catnip? Hope he has a quick recovery, and gets over his "loss" soon!

Ashley, I seem to recall that you have a 2441 in your 4645, is that right? If so, did you change the tuning of the cabinet, or use it as is? How low does your 4645 cab go? Have you ever measured it? Thanks for sharing the video, Mate, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

    Cheers Doc.

It’s his last night to lick those fury back wheels of his. I’m playing with at the moment with BUG toy trying to ware him down so he’ll get some catnaps.

    It’s a 2240.

Anyway get some videos going I’m not the only one with these big sub around here come on guys.

I’m thinking of connecting up a JBL CM-62 passive crossover to the subs terminal and running a low level input into it. The crossover is fitted with two of those light bulb fuses. So it would be easier to see it light-up under low level as I’m sure it would have max tolerance point where it might burn out.

Not now it’s too late, sometime around morning time.

Also what is the maximum voltage level for these fuses?

Oddly strangely enough it didn’t eliminate the fuse? It should have as sound was passing though it and it should have lighted-up?

Well I have something else in mind post video later this afternoon after I get back from the vets.

There is a bit of rumble on the sound recording due to background traffic sound coming from the open window as its fucking hot! You can hear some deep passing traffic as the mic is full spectrum sound.

Whoops LOL I noticed the lead on the connection where the negative came undone hence the 50Hz HUM! LOL I'm going re-solder new leads next week with new leads.

Whoops half way though I must have knocked the lead 50Hz HUMMING! LOL

A piece of small wood can help sub bass to vibrate the sofa!

Don’t use pc speakers use your JBL loudspeakers for full spectrum as I’m using the lead patched from pc to AVR AUX and it sounds good on this the bass is on my body its not too boomy.

No Way Out sounds good random conversation and Sooty my cat
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JNdMKxf_us

LMAO I’ve noticed the playback some frequencies bass beat slams are distorting a bit but its not a direct link to the original musical soundtrack good god this is dreadful LOL

I’m surprised the low level isn’t masking my voice too much. It was playing at low level take my word it’s the gain on the preamp that was making too boomy LOL

I reverse my last comment because the voice clips on windows last night was played though the small pc speaker so I’d be missing the rest of the low end spectrum. Here on the JBL I’m hearing the whole range so it may sound better with low pass filter to trim the low end off a bit.

"Sooty lying besides window strong lanauage18"

While it has nothing to do with audio, this is my favorite YouTube clip of all time. A slice of life from a friend, perfect in every way. I downloaded it weeks ago and watch it whenever I need a lift. You and Sooty make a wonderful pair.

Gosh, Ashley, don't be so shy. Why don't you tell us how you really feel about pigeons? And drivers who speed down your street? Nice looking neighborhood!

What the details on how I feel about speeding and pigeons that look like some grimy creasy Mexican crawling outside my window warring there balaclavas.

Guess you’ll have to wait for the video Clark. Sooty has been showing interest on the pigeons and you can only guess what is going though his mind. [Purrr, purrr] “Food!” [Purrr, purrr] “Food!”

Looks like someone was having fun with their JBL sub bass with paper stuck to the port! It is annoying because it only produces a flapping rustling noise that is above the low frequency spectrum but still it was fun to watch.

I’ve seen this model before but can’t be asked to do search.

This sound pretty well almost cool a little too much reverberation but it’s the sound captured from the all the JBL speakers in the room and the JBL 4645 deep low end.

The playback is missing a bit of top end but this was recorded about a month or so ago.

Like the part where the guy gets kicked in the bollocks I can feel that, maybe not with same sensation that guy felt.

The Maurice Jerra score is deep for film around 1987

No Way Out (1987) short extract from spy thriller film/DVD
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uMI3yMMeM8

3:55 it starts to get deep in the lower spectrum. Wow my ears! Yeah playing it back on the same sound system thou the video is monaural. My ears!
