The guy says they are "ALTEL" brand speakers. I was sure that he was reading it wrong because I've never heard of ALTEL speakers.
The dials with green backgrounds look like Altecs to me.
If these aren't Altecs I have no interest in them. I'm about to drive 2 hours round trip today to see them. If they're not Altecs let me know and save me the drive.
thanks!
- Why not ask the seller for a new picture of the back , that's taken closer in ( & in better focus ) ?The guy says they are "ALTEL" brand speakers. I was sure that he was reading it wrong because I've never heard of ALTEL speakers.

- AFAIK, there's little info online about Altecs' bookshelf speakers from the 60's & early seventies .
- This sites' 1975 Altec reference for replacement parts ( look in the library ) is about the best info you'll find / since it happens to cover this time period .
- A casual buyer ( or pro flipper ) can easily figure out ( because of the reference ) whether or not their time spent pursuing these little bookshelves should have a sonic payoff ( or eBay payout ) .
>< cheers
thanks.
I think the prospect of a sonic payout and an ebay payout are equally as exciting.
Probably the mini monitor 1
