    Is the 2427H a true 2" Driver?

    Hi,

I was snooping on ebay the other day and I noticed a JBL driver for sale a 2427H and the gentleman was saying it is a 2" driver? Correct me if I am wrong but are not all the 242_ model drivers 1" drivers? I realize this unit can come with an extended snout added, maybe that "snout" is really just an 'adaptor', adapting a 1" driver to a 2" horn? Does anyone have any input on this one?

    Thanks,

    Kevin

    exit stage left

it is a 2" EXIT driver but with a small format diaphram. The same result would happen if the 2427 adapter were bolted to the 2426 but for the cost.

The 2426 and 27 are identical except for the snout that is attached. remove the snouts and it becomes a thread-on model.

Now for real cool, JBL did the thread-on machining to the 2445 for a few specialized cabinets. Very rare....
