    Exclamation Custom 3-way set-up

Can anyone please give me some advice on trying to make up a 3-way configuration with 511 horns and 802-8d drivers as midrange, 2420's and JBL h91's as tweeters, and 416's as woofers. Which JBL crossover would work to make this set-up fly? What else should I consider when undertaking this endeavor. Thanks

There is no JBL crossover... you might want to go with an Altec crossover and find a proper tweeter. The 2420 will have better highs than the 802, but not quite as good as an actual tweeter.

If you had years of design under your belt, I'd suggest a custom network... I am guessing that is not the case, so I'd suggest using an Altec network and setting them up as a two way... then add a tweeter with a simple filter. There are a number of possible tweeter options... selling the 2420/H91 combo should cover the cost of most of them.
