    C54 Trimline DIY Cabinet Project

    Hello Everyone

Does anyone have the dimensions and/or plans for the fabulous C54 Trimline speaker cabinets? I have a bunch of LET8Ts that need a home, particularly a pair of LE8-1 with matching passive radiators...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I plan to make them in walnut : )

Member Locanti picked one up late last year and may be able to help:

Outside of that, there aren't many mentions of the C54 on the site. You might also try browsing through the library.

Hope they turn out wonderful for you!

i owned some trimlines many years ago, and i removed the LE8Ts and PR8s and put them in bigger cabinets which much improved the sound from them..

    Thank you!

Thank you all for your advice and input. I will try to make some Trimlines for the heck of it. I have the LE8-1 and LE8T in Lancer 33, Lancer 44 and Minuet cabinets elsewhere. It is amazing how the sound varies with the cab...or perhaps is it different versions of the driver? I prefer the LE8-1 in the Minuet at the moment, matched with a 2a3 single-end amp handling everything 80hz and up with the low stuff going to a JBL sub.

    Cheers
    Chris

Hmm. After running across this thread, and finding it's possible to make clones of the Trimlines, does that mean this pair I have here are clones ? (Pics included)
