    Altec 846B Crossover help

One of the crossovers on my 846B has died. I need to have the pair rebuilt. I've read that they become a "better" sounding speaker with more modern internals. I've just started poking around, but some direction would help. I was wondering if there is a shop or person that can rebuild these, or a good recomendation for a replacement. I'm going to try to troubleshoot them tonight.

    Best,
    Roundsound

I would go ahead and use another crossover since the 846B has a really simple crossover and could use some updating. If you don't want to redesign the whole thing, I'd check out this thread and contact dgwojo if you need more help. There are also other efforts on this and other sites on updating these speakers. Good luck on your project.

And you'll also find me posting over there that it's wrong.

    Then, there's this:
