    JBL alnico dome tweeter?

    Guys,

I seem to remember there was an alnico-magnet dome tweeter from JBL, possibly early 70ies. Did this really exist, and could anybody point me at details?

The LE30? This would be the only one I can think of... a beautiful looking but not terribly great sounding tweeter.

Anyone have some spectra of the FR for the LE-30? I've always wondered what the big issue was with them, cone/diaphram breakup?

If so, I wonder what an aquaplas treatment might render, other than changing the looks to its detriment?

Thanks Mr. Widget. I'm not sure these are the right ones, I'm thinking of a regular dome tweeter with an alnico magnet.
