    Great Plains Audio 604-8H-III NEW

Looks like Great Plains Audio has finally come out with the new 604 they had told me they were working on.

From the pictures, it reminds me quite a bit of the original Urei (before the shadow slots and foam treatment).

DIYers looking to build Urei replicas should be grinning ear to ear with this new model, I'm quite excited to see this in production!

I'd heard Bill H was working on this and also a 12" coaxial of similar looks. My UREI 813s are in storage until my old house sells (don't go there right now). If I didn't have them, I'd be all over these guys.

I'd also love to hear the 12" version in the UREI 809s I'm listening to as I write this. They're one heck of a lot easier to move around.

    Cheers,

    David

I have no idea on price.....you can drop them an email, and they'll let you know.

And yes, the 809's sure are easier to move, but I prefer the sound of the larger monitors myself.

I totally agree. They don't call the 813s a Large Format monitor for no reason......

Still, temporary quarters right now don't allow Large Format stuff.

    Cheers,

    David
