    LE-5 mid replacement

Having tons of fun with my 2214H mod'd L-150's, but I'm finding the LE-5 has it's shortcomings. It's just not a very forceful midrange. It seems to be wimpy compared to the highs and lows I'm getting out of this speaker. I even noticed the same thing with the L-65A listening sesh Saturday. Very punchy, powerful lows, magnificent 077 highs, but really lacking in the mid's. Any ideas on a replacement, either JBL or non-JBL to replace the LE-5? I anticipate crossover changes and I'm open to suggestions. I notice some of the monitors have the big 8" inch midrange to supplement the sound. The 4628's sound well filled out. I'd just like to get the L-150's sounding the same way.

    LE5 replacement

Other threads have talked about the 104H as a replacement, but the LE5 has a different more peaky rising response with increased frequency (I think). I bought a pair of 104H-2 s. I wont be using them. (one has an open coil). If you are interested in them PM me. You could try it with one and see what you think. They also are pretty available on Ebay.
