JBL D-140F and Fender Dual Showman cabinets

Does anyone have experience with the audible differences of JBL D-140Fs in the 1968+ Fender Dual Showman and Super Bassman cabinets at 45" x 30" x 11.5" and the earlier (1963 - 67) ones at 36" x 24.5" x 11.5"? That's a 2.5 cu ft difference and I would like to think that there's a big difference but it may not be a good one. Thanks.

    Fender did make some changes.

In theory the smaller box at 5.8 cu ft was a little too small for 2 D140F.
The bigger box at 8.9 cu ft would work better fro dual D140Fs.
The JBL recommended size for one D140 is 4~4.5 cu ft.
So the the bigger box should giver better low bass.
