Some works restrict cretin sites especially porn. If your boss saw you looking at Florida Kittens he’s going to say (hang on I post on that site).
You look over your shoulder as he smiles, while you have worried looked on your face. Don’t worry about FK the site is inactive.
I don’t what is not enabling the site to load up within few seconds without constantly crashing its simple page with text and few images. I’ve had pages that are tens times more the information and my pc doesn’t have issues.
Okay I think this has gone off topic too much and I need to ask a friend to have look. Sorry Dome its my naff pc or my internet connection?
Okay, you need a current operating system (Say, Win-XP?)
on a machine with some memory and serious Anti-virus protection,
especially if you are doing porn sites ...
- me, I don't need to go to porn places ... no interrest, really.
I have no idea what you mean by "cretin sites" ...
but my shop has restrictions on sites where you could download shareware and such,
or peer-to-peer file sharing and all of that.
They block it at the firewall so I don't know why something doesn't come in,
sometimes I can guess, sometimes not.
Pretty normal stuff for companies that do business on the web ...

From the acoustical treatment slide, this is what I'm talking about! That's why I don't have wall treatments at my sidewalls.

Hi Everyone,
I didn't post a copy of the AES preprint on my blog - just the Powerpoint presentation from the AES convention. I'm sorry if you are having problems with the Google Doc Links. I could email you a PDF of the presentation if you wish.
Cheers

Okay, JBL fans, once again getting us back on thread, Chris Neumann came down this afternoon and we finished up the calibration. Grumpy was able to stop by before the end, and he got some more shots which he will share here if he wishes.
Before I get to the details, I'll close out this post by exclaiming that I never in my wildest dreams expected to have such a spectacular sounding system in my life. What I thought was great sound prior to calibration was a sad, pale joke compared to how it turned out.
IT IS BY FAR THE MOST EXCELLENT SONIC* EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD with the single exception of listening to the Cleveland Orchestra in Severance Hall.
Better than any cinema I've ever been to.
Better than anyone else's home system I've listened to, JBL or otherwise.
Better than any concert I've attended in any venue.
Better...
*Notwithstanding I've had some incredible cultural and personal experiences at music and cinema events that were amazing, but not sonically as compelling or satisfying or convincing.
Out.
We started by unpacking and setting everything up again, including the new DACS that JBL shipped over. Everything worked first time out of the box.
Chris started over from the beginning, paying particular attention to each S1S-EX, then the pair together. The subs were canceling each other below 25 Hz, he did something (don't ask me what) with the DACS and suddenly the cancellation stopped and we gained over 5 dB at the bottomjust like that!
Grumpy might have a photo of the finished graph, and he can attest as to whether or not the subs' performance was out of this world.
During this process I noticed the SDEC units really come to life. Green lights were flashing all over the place in no pattern I could discern, but with each adjustment of the parametric EQ another LED would come to life or vanish as the case may be and the sound would coalesce even more.
There's a whole lot of processing going on in there.
Out.
I appreciate the opportunity to have heard such a system. Truly impressive
Doug and Chris, after a job well done:
Lets see those screen shots Grumpy.
Unfortunately, not as sharp today... must have been the excitement...
ah... and regarding blinky green lights on SDEC units:
They are level indicators, four per card, four channels per card
(green lamp = -20dB), lamp above each "signal" LED is analog
level clipping indicator (+18.5dB) ... dB relative to what is not
exactly clear, but cannon-fire often lit up most of the green (-20dB)
LED's and I did not once notice a clip lamp come on ... anywhere.
...even with my pant legs fluttering in the 2242-generated tempest
Hey TiD,
I know my meager (calibrated to my ear) Synth's sound better than most movie theaters, so I can only imagine how good your professionally calibrated system sounds. Grumpy's description of "no clipping" even when his pants fluttered, describes it well.
Congrats and hope you enjoy many years of exceptional sound.
Matthew
