converting L-200 to L-300?

Hi all: Newby here so be patient! I have two 4330s and one L-200 as the front array in a home theater. My question is; I have a JBL-077 tweeter and can purchase a JBL-N333 x-over, can I add these to the L-200 thus converting it to a (L-300,4330)? Is this a bad idea? What about the fact that the L-200 has two ports and the 4330-L300 has one? Also if the L-200 is behind a perforated screen should I remove the horn lense?

This will only work if the L200 is the later "B" version that used the 136A woofer. The original L200 used the LE15B with a different cross-over. It will work with the 4330's since these are the pro equivalents of the L200B.

Regarding the perforated screen, I would keep the lenses on the L200's. Without the lenses, the dispersion, and therefore off axis frequency response, will be drastically changed. The screen will not appreciably change the dispersion pattern.

If you have the L200 behind a perforated screen as a center channel I would try it both ways. Removing the lense will change the directivity to that of the horn alone. If you are on axis it may work better without the lense. You will loose some HF going through the screen and the change in DI might offset it providing you get enough coverage at all listening positions.
