    Pics 2240-reconed 2245 - Gabriel Sound

    These are 18" 2240 JBL drivers re-coned into 2245s by Gabriel Sound in Pompton Plains New Jersey.

    Seems like he is one of the few people that still has recones for the 2245?

    judging by the glue, that's one perfect recone..

    Yeah, this is one of a pair of dead 2240s done recently.

    Apparently, the kits were not easy for them to get since I shipped the dead units to Gabriel a few months ago!

    Anyway, the look GREAT!

    Looks awsome. I have 2 2240H's layin around that I so want to get turned into 2245's for subs or 4345's

    Cant decide which to go with?

    It greatly depends..

    From 210-380 euro's here in Europe for the recone only... Not too happy with these weird prices..

    I'm used to the 15" JBL woofers. The 18's make the dust cover look small.
