    JBL Synthesis S4S Subwoofers

I am currently using two 4645C subs, but would like to add more subs to get better seat to seat variation. I stumbled across these: http://jblsynthesis.com/Products/Details/112

They have the perfect size to be used as "helper subs" around the room.

Have anyone heard them? How do they sound compared to the S1S-EX/4645C?

I'd want to try HTPS400s first, if possible. Brute force in a small package.

Sorry for the late reply How would the HTPS keep up with the 4645c's in the 30-100hz area in terms of sound quality? The thing I like about the 4645c is the "speed" and articulation in that area.

The S4S is one of the best in-wall subs made by anyone... that said, a mid level in room sub will out perform them. By mid level I mean in the range of the JBL HTPS-400 as mentioned or even a Velodyne MiniVee 10. The S4S is a compromise for people who can not or will not give up floor space for their subs.
