It appears I can change my own thread title by double-click the title, it then turns the thread title into a key-in field allowing refining of the title? The page changes too quickly to type a new title. Is this a bug or a maybe new feature?

I don't know enough about your observation to comment - bug or not. I do know that Moderators can alter Thread titles, but posters cannot (I think, unless you can do so within the "deletion/edit" time window.
If you need a Thread title altered, just post your request in the Thread. If that goes unnoticed, pm one of the moderators...

hi. I only posted it as an fyi for the programming gurus.
I used to do software certification and it looks like a bug to me... so old habits... had to notify someone.
I'm guessing its a new feature within the html coding that can/probably should be turned off at a programming level. There's likely an html code that disallows editing mode of that field.
User-editing of a topic title at any time could get really messy from a database standpoint so I thought I'd point it out...
