    Classical Jazz on SACD

MEMBRAN MUSIC LTD. (Germany) offers some recordings of classical jazz from round about the fifties in the last century.

Releaseded on hybrid SACD they are presenting very good recordings. I compare this line with "Living Stereo" by BMG.

This edition might be available on Amazon.COM (and .DE too )

    Oscar Peterson on SACD

These reissues are technically the finest recordings from the 1960's in my discotheque:

    Jazz Hits Of The 50s

    Jazz Hits Of The 50s

2 x 23 songs by Membran Music Ltd. available from Amazon.
    Hybrid SACD (multichannel)

    1. For me the whole CD has the charm more of sunday afternoon music than that of jazz.
But it is nice to hear as in general not all of the music swapped over the pond over the years.

    2. The sound quality of these roughly 50 years old songs is remarkable good.
The artifical multichannel mix is obsolete (?) IMHO.

I use the CD track. So the DAC and the analog section of the player can be skipped, the DAC of the receiver is used which I prefer.

    Well ... nice to have.
