Altec amplifier, Nikko preamp

I would like to use my altec 1594b power amplifier with my Nikko NR-1219 (the amp stage is fried). However, the nikko pre-out is in stereo, and the altec is mono. I am unsure how to do the hookup, as the altec wants a 15000 ohm input. any help would be appreciated.

i have a service manual for a 1594c (3.2MB)which is hopefully close enough to the b model. i also have a service manual for the nikko 1219 (1.5MB).
