Are you talking about completely removing the crossover electronics in the cabinet, and running directly off processed amps? Unless you're able to interpret the voltage drives from the existing crossovers, your best bet would be to get the driver response curves using the correct test equipment, from which you should at least have a starting point on how you'd need to set the processor up.

    Setups für JBL 4430 wanted

    Thank You for your answer.

    What I want to do:
CD ist Fostex CDR 500, digital XLR out to Benchmark DAC 1, then into dbx 260, then 2 sterao amps by xlr.

So I have active crossover, possiility of eq and delay.

I have no equipment for testing and masurement.

    Any idea?

    yours

I also have 4430's and the DBX DR260 and can verify that what you want to do is possible, but would require quite a bit of calculation to set up if you're planning on going directly to the speakers from the amps, without using the internal crossover in the 4430's.

That's my main question right now - are you planning on just using the existing biamp inputs, or actually taking the internal crossover completely out of the system? Without this being answered, there's not really a logical starting point...

Could be JBL already has one worked out you could figure out and program in. Did you try calling Pro Service?? In any case hear is a list of what they have. There might be something in the complete 260 Zip File

    Thanks Robh3606,

sorry my english is not so good. In this link are many setups, which one is the right.

A filter to 4400 series does not help, no result?

    Aktive JBL 4430

    Thanks Johnaec,

yes, I would like to take the internet crossover network out.

So direkt from benchmark dac1 to dbx 260 to amp to JBL 2235H and 2425H.

But there are a lot of possibilities of crossover, filter, eq. So the best setup will be hard to find. Any idea?
