    New Additions L-96

I'm all smiles this morning. Just got a pair of L-96s delivered to my door for $75. The woofers need new surrounds and the dust caps on the mids are dented, there is oxidation on the metal and the grills are dead, but I can't wait to hear them. They are in better shape than I was expecting. Any quick and painless ways of cleaning of the oxidation? Thanks as well to all that advised my to steer clear of the J-350s.

Plan to feed them LOTS OF WATTS. The more you give them the better they will sound. There is no upper limit that I have found yet. The L96 is a unit that needs careful room placement and treatment to obtain its best bottom end. Good stands are a must as well, recommend 18"-22". I've had my L96s for 26 years.
