    what's a 4660?

    John Y.

The 'strange' 2346 horn likely has a 2425J
(1" compression driver) connected to it...as
described earlier in this thread. There's also a
15" driver behind the grille cloth (likely a 2225H). This is what a 4660 is.

The horn/driver added to the top of the 4660
was likely added to provide additional rear
    venue coverage...appears they already tried
raising the front of the 4660 in an attempt to
do this and found their application exceeded
the capabilities of the device (4660).

Thanks to the forum, I now have an idea of what this is. I have been looking at this odd device hanging from an atrium at the University of Houston, Clear Lake campus, for over fifteen years. But, since they have a 2445? on a 2380 (old style) horn, what do you suppose they have connected to the strange bidet-like horn? Incidentally, the 2380 is set back about a foot and I would think would be blocked by the main enclosure front edge. The system is arranged to cover the area below and to the front of the unit. The enclosure has a JBL logo on the grill cloth.

I don't know for the addition of the 2445/2380. 4660 A a beach of frequency of 40hz to 15 Khz with -10dB and 80 to 12 Khz with -4db. , I suppose that the 2445/2380 were added for a problem of use related to the room, or for high frequency extension.
