Can anyone tell me what models these tweeters were used on?

Looks like a tweeter/supertweeter from an automotive application. I was all excited some years back when I bought some 4x6 JBL plates for my 944 and was very disappointed to see " Made in China" on the back once they were out of the box. I have NEVER seen such a tweeter combo in a desirable home model.
