    Interesting IMAX JBL speaker specification

I was doing some searching around over the weekend and stumbled on this unique JBL IMAX specification. Not sure what drivers there are using for the sub bass of x12? The crossover ranges seemed interesting and I thought Sonics was the preferred choice for the IMAX cinemas I guess I was mistaken.

Couple of pictures from the IMAX theatre at the Udvar-Hazy part of the Air & Space Museum facility, near Dulles Airport in Virginia.
Its part of the Smithsonian Institute.
Speakers are hidden behind the tall screen.

They get real ansy about you taking pictures ...

Yeah, I knew IMAX was hiding something that they don’t what you to see. Doesn’t the IMAX do the 2 minute short sound and vision demonstration. This is the left channel this is the centre channel this is the upper centre or voice of god channel and so on till they say the sub bass is here along with strobe-lighting-effects. The Bournemouth IMAX did a short 2 minute demo well cool. Thou the speaker system was Sonics at Bournemouth not JBL.

Just ask the manger nicely next-time after the last show of the evening if, he or she can turn the lights on inside the auditorium so that you, take a few pictures, no harm and no different than taking pictures at Cape Kennedy Space Centre.

Be interesting to get the components and knock together your own in the home IMAX JBL speaker system thou you may need a very, very large room.

Like those nebula dust cloud formations fantastically wondrous, god sure does have fine paint bush.

I noticed the entrance is to the bottom left-hand corner. Same as the Bournemouth IMAX let me guess the exit is at the top of the stairs located centre of the rear?

I guess that’s important to dynamic range.
