I didn't mean to confuse anyone, I am currently quite healthy.
I was quoting Jerry Pournelle, who was going through the radiation therapy -
he blogged the whole process over the last 6 or 8 months on his website ...

All of you, my friends on this forum, I can't thank you enough for the replies, and the hope this means for my friend Jan. I can tell you he was crying when I read the first posts, and know he will do so again when I translate what has come after.
Unfortunately he is not very good in the English language, so he can't express his gratitude, sf I do it for him. THANK YOU from Jan.
I wasn't going to tell you what is coming at this time, but why not. My very beloved wife, Ruth, has been thru two major operations in the abdomen area removing fatty tissue cancer. First in June 2006, when a kidney also had to be removed, and then in february 2008. The next ct scan is in November, and I pray nothing new is going to be found.
Thank you the moderator's that make this thread stay here, not moving it to the Off Topic.
Hello, Rolf,
Thank you, very much, for sharing this additional information about your beloved Ruth! I cannot even begin to know how much I would be devastated, if my own Sweet Bride was afflicted in a similar way!!! Please know that we will add your Ruth to our prayers each night, and we will continue until you tell us it is no longer needed, and that all is just perfect!! Please keep us posted as to the progress of both your friend, Jan, and your wonderful wife, Ruth! Take care, and, as always, God Bless!
Every Good Wish,
Doc
The only thing that can never be taken away from you, is your honor. Cherish it, in yourself, and in others.
Thanks Doc. If you only know what it means.
Kaiser doesn't treat extremely serious illnesses, they contract to other facilities. One of the hospitals that Kaiser contracts through is City of Hope in Duarte Calif. It is about 15 miles east of Los Angeles. I highly recommend them.
I donate platelets to the City of Hope for their patients every two weeks.
