    L300 dates of manufacture?

    Good Morning, All,

I was casting about in the Library, try to determine the dates of manufacture for the L300's, and I think I'm not seeing the complete picture. So far, I've found them in the 1975 Home Catalog, which is about when I first heard a pair of them. The last mention is in the 1979 Home Catalog, though I do have a 1981 Home Component Catalog in which they are mentioned, as well. Does anyone know the exact dates of manufacture, from beginning, to end? Thanks, very much, for any such information you can send my way! Also, is there a place here on LH where I can use the serial numbers on my new L300's to date their particular manufacture? Thanks, again, and God Bless!

    Every Good Wish,
    Doc

This is a shorter thread with info on reaching the new registry: http://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/s...ad.php?t=19032

Log on and look for L300's, there are a few dates to go on, but not much.

Feel free to register your own pair.

    Hello, Johnny,

Many thanks, Sir! I have heard from HP, and will send him my serial numbers, and see what turns up. All this is fun, isn't it!! I'm still walking on air with this set of L300's, and have yet to find a type of music that it will not reproduce very nicely, and quite to my liking! Sweet Bride likes them, too, which always a plus! Thanks, again, and God Bless!

Outstanding link! Thanks, very much! I'm going to send my serial numbers to HP, and try to determine, as close as I can get, to the date of manufacture of my own L300's (I can't tell you how cool it is to say that!! I am still trying to come to grips with the fact that I actually DO own L300's, now!! YIPPEE!!) Thanks, again, and God Bless!
