I was Given an Nice Pair of 120Ti Cabs with Crossovers, what would

be a more reasonably priced alternative to the original drivers? I have a pair of 123A-1 woofers that I can use and I am bidding on a pair of 034 tweets, any suggestions for the mids? I'm curious how the 120Ti networks will be with the 123A-1's and the 034's?

If you don't want to spring for the 104H, a pair 104H2 drivers would at least get you up and running. These are used in the L100t and L80t and show up for sale all the time.

Hold out for the right parts. You will be greatly rewarded.

128H or 128H-1 woofer (only difference is color, which is inconsequential to the sound)

104H midrange (as mentioned, the 104H-2 is an acceptable substitute)

and most importantly- 044Ti tweeter. THIS is what makes this speaker a GREAT speaker. This tweeter is an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE better than the older phenolic domes. I don't think I could live with an earlier-generation tweeter anymore, after upgrading L150As and 4313s and such with the newer models (044Ti and/or 035Ti)...

    Regards,
    Gordon.

As stated, the 128H (variants) and 104H (variants) can be picked up relatively easy on the cheap. Whatever you do in the short term for the HF driver, please don't modify the cabs. Make an adapter/baffle board if you have to.

Well I got lucky today and found a pair of L60t's for $25, the cabs were beat to Hell and the Woofs need re-coned but both the 035Tia's were good, although one is missing the screen and the screen is held on only by the magnet on the other. I see the 044ti's have 3 mounting holes and are slightly larger than the 035ti's. I suppose I can mount the 035z to a piece of 3/8" plywood or masonite then mount to the original, though I doubt I will ever stumble on a pair of 044z.
