    Model 14 should I buy?

My friend was selling his Model 14. The box is not in very good conditions but the drivers are all working. He is selling it for about $500. I went through many audio forums and seems there are none who gave praises to these model compared to the 19. What is wrong with this model? I read one thread that it was the bass. Is this so?

Is there any way to upgrade these to reach the status of other expensive high end speakers? Is it worth the time and effort or would you rather look for other well acclaimed speakers?

i would argue that for home use the 14's are easier to place and set up. especially if your space is limited. i dont know if 500 is a good deal to you or not, but the 14 is a good speaker. i dont think that they are bass shy either.

    regards
