Help to identify drivers for Heatkit speakers

Bought yesterday from original owner in very good condition Heatkit AS/ASW1230 tower speakers with owners manual.
Can't find any information about speakers on net.
    Looks similiar to L100T3.

    Three way design.
    Woofer -12" laminated cone
    5" laminated cone mid-range transduser
    1" pure titanium dome tweeter

    Spec.:8ohms, 91dB,
    freq. range 45-23khz,
    freq responce 60-20khz,
    crossover freq. 800hz,4000hz.
    Weight 54lbs.
    Dimension 10.4x13.9x40.1 in
Finish: Oiled walnut veneer on 5/8" particle board.
    Designed by JBL.....
    Tweeter is JBL 022TI.
    On midrange is printed "L82TN"

That woofer was built by a different Harman subsidiary, Pyle Industries, for JBL. That basket and magnet/magnet cover is a dead give-away for a Utah/Pyle design.

I've seen that mid before... it and the tweeter are from the LX series JBL products, normally. That mid is built into what normally would be used as an Infinity (yet another Harman division) midrange frame/basket, in this case.

Interesting hybrid design. How does it sound?

    Regards,
    Gordon.

Yeah, if I had those cabinets, I'd be swapping LE5-2s in as mids, 2214Hs in as woofers, and make up some L100T3 or 4412 crossovers. Basically, MAKE a "true" L100T3 out of it. I'm guessing the tweeter might be usable as is?

    Regards,
    Gordon.

    wow... the power of words/recommendations.

Has the market price for complete L100T's in decent condition gone up?
    (rhetorical question)

I hope your project turns out to meet or exceed your expectations

I'm just not following. Feel free to call me dense... or whatever suits your mood.

4410's and XPL200a's are being used as donors for a (perhaps very nice looking)
    Heathkit box pair? Just curious.

    OOPS.

That should be 104H-2... not LE5-2!

    Big difference!!

    Repeat: L100T and L100T3 uses 104H-2...

    Regards,
    Gordon.

Short story:when looking for 2214H's for this project,i founded XPL200A speakers with stands for 400$ in very good condition.(Without DX-1).
    So,i'm still looking for 2214h's.

Are you interested in possibly working out some kind of trade on the stands? I've got a "spare" pair of refoamed 2214H's but need a set of stands.
