    Century Gold 3 way project

I have decided to start a new 3-way design project using a pair of Century Gold woofers and assorted drivers. My idea is to build a smaller, high SPL system that I can use in my family room. I will place them in book shelves.
My first thought was to build a speaker similar in design to the 4425 and add a 046ti for visual design balance.
My other goal is to use components that I presently have in my collection.
I downsized a few years ago and sent Mike Caldwell two pallets of JBL components. Anyway, a collection of JBL items still remains.
So I am thinking of mating the Century gold woofer, a JBL 2417h driver mounted on the 2342 horn, and the 046ti hi freq. I do have a pair of 093ti mids I could use but I like the butt's hanging out.
Now for my question. I need some design help on the crossovers and box and port size.
I have come to realize that my ex wife has all my design software.
I am more than happy to trade components for this assistance.
    Any thoughts.

Still have to do a passive compensation on the 2342 unless the canned CD curve happens to work which is a real shot in the dark.

You need measurements preferably on your baffle to do the crossover. That's the hard part. Now what about the T/S for the woofer?? Do you have the parameters?? If you do grab WinIsd off their site and we can crosscheck the box tuning in Bass Box Pro once you decide what volume looks good.

Do what I am doing. Build a universal bass box and have different tops. You can do a straight up XPL top or a 4425 type top. That way at least most of the crossover work is done for you. Or you can make you own upper driver set too mix things up.

I think the woofer in the century gold is the 1200Fe, the same driver as in the 4428. The 4428 might be a good place to start looking for network options, as is is an evolution of the 4425. The 4425 network could be your best bet, and maybe you should forget about using the tweeter for the start.
The T/S parameters of the 1200Fe where posted recently by 4313B in the Transducer reference section.

    Hope that helps

Hasn't there been some work done here with the L200T3 which uses that 2342 horn? I think there is a crossover with compensation for that.

Yes it's a really simple network, no Lpads. Zilch used it I think. 4425 would give more adjustabillity.

I was wrong: it looks like the century gold uses a C1200, which is the same as the 1200H of the 4425mk2. It looks different than the 1200Fe of the 4428.
