Three weeks since I replaced my 2225H with the 2235H in my 4507 cabinets. The 2235H are breaking in nicely. I'm hearing bass that I didn't know was on the recorded material.
The 2235H shares the same tonal quality as the 2225H, so no loss or mods required. In fact, I didn't have to change the settings on the 3110A cross over.
The main difference is in the VLF response. The 2225H is no match for the 2235H. Covering 2 of the 4 ports on the 4507 gives me unreal bass. Not boomy bass, but natural bass you can hear as well as feel. No VLF bass in the recorded material, no boom.

The bottom line is that replacing the 2225H with the 2235H changes only the VLF response of the system. All other aspects of the system remain the same.
Well worth the expense.
