    JBL D131 ohm ratings?

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking to buy a pair of d131's and I've run across what looks like a nice pair....the gentleman says they are 16 Ohm speakers and yet the drivers were tested and rate 7.5 and 7.2 ohms...

    Does this sound right? Sorry I'm a newbie!

    Treat them as 10 ohm drivers

    Some of the older JBL driver units were listed as 8 ohm and 16 ohm but actually were not.

    Re is spec'd at 6.3 ohms (+/- some value), so a little higher doesn't seem
    wacky

    As well, the DC resistance measurement is not the same as the AC impedance presented to the crossover/amplifier and this varies with frequency. This article will help:
