as you can see these are the new tweeters. it probably was the last pair available. because i tried to order another pair for someone on this forum and it wasnt possible. there now officially out of stock.

the woofer has been refoamed ( by myself) and threated with something called vinylflex to make em last longer. some people use it to better the sound of a driver but i cant hear the difference

last but not least the backplates.
with the serie numbers. some one was so kind to make detailed pics and send them over. thse were send to a (how you say it) metalcarving compagny?
and they made these for a large amount of money.

total amount of money that these have cost me is 1000 euro's.
i could have bought them cheaper than that but it wouldnt be so much fun.

    Congratulations

You have devoted a lot of time and effort in the restoration of these rare speakers. Well done , you must be very pleased.
The ' metal carver ' is called an engraver or etcher.
Thats a neat trick making your pics a link. How did you do that ?

thank you for the kind words
engraver! yes that must be it.

i go to the site of the "uploadgeek"
from there i can upload my pictures from the computer.
when thre uploaded it gives me about 5 different links.
one of them is usable for forums.
you copie that link with your mouse and paste it in your reply here.
dont click on the picture (the postcard)
the link already does that for you.
so just paste it without forum tools

well thats the best i can explain it
finally i have a pair of 604 8g's....there not easy to find in the netherlands

    Ta

Thanks for that info , it could be prettty handy for detailed pics given that this forum restricts pic size.

Beautiful work! Congratulations on a job well done. As a fellow craftsman, I always appreciate seeing such fine examples of work and the dedication required to get there.

BTW: The links worked well, however many posts in the past where external links were used do not work out well as several years down the road the links may get broken. Please post larger images as your links when/if possible.

also finished the work on my bose 1801 amp.
little modifications to make it sound even better as it already did.

this amp and these speakers are made for each other.
sound is big, deep, lots of detail and graps your attention.
if your in holland , come and check it out.

    lovely ad.
    5000 dollar.
thats something aint it. whats in there that justifies such a price.
i think if the gold tweeter was produced a bit more than it would cost the same as the 050TI or was it the 052TI?

its expensive because its rare i guess. the drivers are good but not 5000 dollar good.
