    iPod spkr

Hi friends. I want to build a powered speaker for my eldest daugther which she can use for her MP3 player. Planned to use a T-AMP and a sealed lead battery. I happand to have a pair of 2110 and 075 ( sounds nice, doesn't it?) and want to use them because of their sound quality and their high efficiency. Please, help me to calculate the box! Smallest possible for two 2110. Ducted or sealed.

You could try some modelling, yourself.

This is admittedly risky business - building a good performing speaker cabinet is not trivial - but you could have a go using WinISD, freeware which has the Thiele-Small Parameters of many drivers pre-loaded. I have not checked if yours are there. If not, maybe here --> Thiele-Small Database

Lots of "fun" ahead for you!

    Thanks!

Thank you Boputnam! Seems like 8.1 litres should work with a sealed box. Can I use a common box, 16 litres, for both drivers or should I use separate 8 litres?

Hans, is this supposed to be a portable self-powered unit?

That'll be one healthy boom box. Better figure a set of casters for it, too!
