Crown PSL-2 output low

Anyone have experience with Crown's PSL-2 preamp? It seems I have to use the tape outs to get any decent level to my AV amp. The Crown's mains outs are so low in level I can barely hear anything through my AV system. If I got to tape out I've got plenty of volume, but I thought the mains outs would be line level?

Take a look at the jumper cables on the back of the PSL2. Just a thought but worth a check
