Is this E-120 recone JBL - Edgewound?

I'm interested in picking up an E-120 speaker, (for a little guitar amp), and came across this one on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=008

It says it's reconed, but I'm guessing it wasn't a JBL kit. Do the numbers on the cone mean anything to anyone?

Yes the numbers as displayed in the pictures in that auction tell me it is a aftermarket recone.

For the opening bid it is a ok deal but anything over $100 well I would pass.

w means it's a waldon kit. JBL's lettering is much smaller too.

Yeah - I pretty much thought so. The surrounds didn't look quite right either. I'll pass...

I've got two E120s here that I used to use in PA mid cabs years ago, they're all original. I've been holding on to them for potential guitar use but haven't found an appropriate cab. Hit me with a PM if you want to discuss talking me out of one or both of them, otherwise they'll keep chillin' here.

Kind of looks that way to my feeble eyes.

Not Always. I have noticed some large lettering on the 18"cone kits
