Looking through the library of catalogs here, I don't see much on this (literally!); the text describing this offering in the catelogs is a bit too grainy for me to read.

Anyway, I ran across some circa 1975 Altec Stonehedge II speakers but the woofers have been raped out and I am now considering options for restoration.

Does anyone know what model # and the specs of the original 12 inch woofers might have been (freq. responce, sensativity, magnet, etc.)?

Bill from Great Plains Audio (GPA) did not know much, but he plans to see if he can find some info on them later this week.

So, if you owned these and intended to use them (e.g., no particular historical value to me personnaly) would you:

1. Try to find two original woofers of circa 1975,
2. Replace the LF drivers with new LF drivers from GPA,
3. Replace the woofers with GPA duplex 12s (212-8A) and use the existing three-way x-over and existing tweeter only,
4. Other options?
