Hey all. This is my 1st post on the forum.

Thinking building up some massive awesome JBL speakers, same sort of size as the DD66000Everest speakers, although no doubt not in the same league.

I was thinking basing it, either side, on two W15GTi subwoofers (the new ones, car subs), a 12" 2213 mid-bass from a JBL 4311, and the high-mid LE5-6, which is very similar to the JBL LE-12 that comes from a 4312, with attenuation on the crossover to reduce that 6k lump.

I'd also have a non-jbl dome tweeter that gives a flat response, or one of those "blue-crystal" jbl tweeters.

Your thoughts?

Has anyone ever used the W-GTi series in their main speakers? I know some have used them as subs, I saw one person on here using a W10GTi 1st gen on their surround speakers i believe.

One thing that concerns me is the fact that the JBL W-GTi has a completely different cone surface to similarly sized speakers in the JBL Pro side of things, including the drivers in the DD66000 and the JBL 1500SUB.

And if anyone had to build the ultimate pair of JBL speakers (no external subwoofers, although I would encorporate the W15GTi subs into a different part of the enclosure), what would be in them?

Cheers,
Arthur
