    Opinions....4343's or 250ti's?

I read great things about both...the ti's obviously having the advantage of being much newer....which do you prefer the sound from?

I think the designer of both, prefers the L250ti.

True...but the designer of the Corvette prefers the 2008, yet I bet popular opinion is the 1967 is more fun.

Which Brings Me To My Next Question.....

....Why are the 4343's 3 times as expensive?

Perhaps but the chief designer as well as the rest of the 2008 team had no connection to the 67.

On the other hand Greg Timbers was the juice for both the 4343 and L250ti.

Perfect analogy! I'll take a 365 bhp 4 speed while you're at it. Mike

Well first off they made less 4343,s then L250ti,s and I guess it depends where you buy them. A forum member in oregon picked up a pair for around $1000 about a 2 months ago from craigslist.

I'm quite convinced that Greg never touched the 4343. At least that is what he states every time the topic comes up. He has never been able to find the EDS for it to add to the website either.

The Pro systems from the same era as the L250 and 250Ti would be Greg's 4345 and 4355 (Greg didn't do the 4344.)

Greg's comments on both the 250Ti and the 4345 can be found on this website.

    here it is: http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...5&postcount=27

That would be very interesting to know Greg's opinion on a comparison between the 4345 and 4355, as he did with the 4315/XPL200 and 4345/250Ti !

    Well perhaps I am wrong?

I thought I did see a 4343 EDS but maybe I assumed since he did the 4315-4333-4345-4355 he must of did the 4343-4350.

What year did Greg join JBL ???

Nice! You won't be disappointed with the 250's. They've got more than enough guts to go beyond what you'd need. The horn loaded systems like the L-300's (I haven't heard the 4343, but I have the home version of the 4333) are more dB sensitive and get louder sooner, but in a side-by-side comparison, the 250's hit the mark as well. They just needed to be fed more power.
