    Question Altec 802-8D & 802-8T

    Hello,

Can anyone tell what the difference is between the 802-8D and 802-8T. I have found a lot of info on the 802-8D, but, nothing on the 802-8T.

    Thanks

The "T" is for "Theatre" - they used a black bakelite loading cap on the rear of the diaphragms to make them handle higher power.

I don't like them - they do affect the HF performance adversely - so I take them out and put a large piece of absorbent felt inside the rear cover.
