I don't know what that means - most folks take their amp to a shop and have them determine what is needed. Most amps use parts from other vendors,
there probably are not many parts in the amp labelled JBL ...
Its old and JBL probably doesn't stock parts for it at this point ...

So - what is wrong with the amp, what do you need?

I had one of those 408s back in the 70s and used it for quite a while with a Mac MX-110 back then. It was quite nice when working. They were designed to be 'energized' all the time and, when installed into a JBL speaker system, they made the some of the original self-powered speakers we see more of these days.

I'd suggest that you rephrase your question a bit: "Does anyone know some bench technicians that know the old JBL amplifiers?"

These days, 40+ year-old amplifiers requires some knowledge of the quirks of different amplifers. Since original parts will not be available from JBL, these specialists will have worked out ways to use substitutes for those missing items. Cosmetic parts, however, will require diligence on eBay or other vintage audio sites if you need them. While I know folks like this for McIntosh, Hafler and Harmon-Kardon amps, I'm sorry that I do not know one for JBL amps.

Given that the gear you have may well have sentimental values attached to them. Be prepared to ship it, however, for the best results. I do _not_ recommend you take it to any 'ol bench tech as there were multiple versions of this amp that requires the right schematics and that JBL specialist knowledge.
