I wish Mr. Widget would bolt a 435Be, 476Be and a TAD onto these waveguides and post his results. I've already run my curves. The word from JBL is that none of them have any bottom end. That seems to be true with the 2435/435 and 2451/2452H-SL but the 476 appears to be a whole different ballgame. If the TAD does too then the TAD is the way to go since it appears one can actually buy it.

In the white paper, the "HF" designates high frequency, and that's been my experience. I typically end up between 900 Hz and 1.2 kHz minimum. The larger square "rotatable" versions seem to play a bit lower.

I haven't measured this little guy yet, but it certainly sounds nice with 2452H-SL as it's used in the VP product. It very much looks like a scaled-down version of PT-H95HF in its throat contours, which I have found to be the best sounding of all of them. The throat on that one is so long that you almost have to use delay to use it, though, which is why I have favored the "compact" PT-F95HF, recently available.

Could you post your measurements, please, perhaps in a new general PT Waveguide thread? I'll talk to Mr. Widget about doing another PT Waveguide study, if he's willing. There is a wide array of options available, and they are certainly affordable for DIY.

Of note: The JBL PT throat adaper converts any of them to 1" thread-on, Part# 339308-001, ~$20 last time I bought them. Yes, LE85 with two throat adapters works....

    HUH?

I show a crossover and contour filter kludge, also, not to mention the venerable L100 woofer playing closed-box with....

Are these horns something you can buy with a call to JBL Pro?

I checked around on the website but didn't see it on any of the price sheets.

Yes, from Pro Parts. It helps greatly if you have the part number, typically available on the tech sheets of the products which use them.

Understand that JBL is not in the business of selling these as components, there's no tech support, and you sometimes have to wait on backorder.

There are no specs on them, either, but what can be gleaned from studying those of the products, and by measurement of their actual performance.

We're also largely on our own with respect to crossovers and compensation filters for using specific drivers with them....
