    HT speaker selection

    OK... here goes.

At present my HT setup is a HK AVR7300 powering S412Ps in the front, ARC30s as the front surrounds and Tannoy PBM8II as rear surrounds. Just finished restoring a pair of Decade 36s. Frankly... I don't "need" them for anything at the moment so I'm thinking of using them as front surrounds and moving the lil ARC30s to the rear. Any opinions? Sort of a waste? Are they efficient enough?

I've got a slew of speakers of various other brands in the restoration pipeline so I'm trying to figger out what to do with em all...

I'd give the Decades a shot at the front position. As for rears and surrounds... I don't think they are terribly important. Any reasonably competent speaker should suffice.

I did kick that around but the amped woofers in the S412s are actually really nice to have for HT... maybe I oughta sell the Decades? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
