    HELP HELP

My American Cousin lives in Norcal and is having WAF problems and needs to get shot of his Jubal sized speakers ( Onkyo ). He has an outdoors drinking den and a Cobra and lots of firearms and even better a great potato launcher so I don't suppose he can whine much.
He needs to gain some WAF accepability so I suppose its a powered sub and some littleuns. I had a look for him at the JBL consumer offering and to tell you the truth there was not much jumping out of the screen at me.
No budget has been discussed or suggested. He has a bog standard receiver.
Does anyone have any input of good closeout JBL or what.
Yes I know this is kind of wide open but having looked at the JBL page I am left going :dont-know.
Oh yeah -- black / high tech will not suit at all.
    Thanks in advance team.--- Mac

    Its worse than I thought

I had a look about the usual haunts Best Buy, Circuit City and such and tried to find a proper hi fi dealer in the Sacramento area with a web site that works.
No such luck. The outlook is dismal.
Does anyone have a sweet pair of L20,s up in that area that they would let go to a good guy in exchange for a lifetime of torn up speeding tickets, good karma, and some dosh.

Axioms for WAF. They come in a variety of finishes and are small, with a good sound. http://www.axiomaudio.com/m3ti_main.html The sister-in-law gave up her old Polks for these and they are a bit impressive. The brother-in-law now has a nice set of Polks in his shop. All things worked out for the best.

The small Axioms look very cool. Definitely an L20-type speaker. But, by the time you've picked out that nice real Rosewood veneer, the price has jumped to $552. Makes the $330 for vinyl look pretty good, but then a used pair of L20 or 18ti will save major bucks to pay those tickets.

Or you could stay "in the family" for $180/pair:

. . . and even keep the name for $209:

and here's a pair of the Axiom M3s on Ebay, in Sacramento, no bids, 4-days, opens at $100.
