In-Wall Speaker Recommendations?

I can't convince my wife that 4406's would be a nice addition to our bedroom. Any suggestions for decent sounding in-wall speakers? I have seen ads for several versions of the JBL contractor and other in-wall series, but have not been able to hear them locally. Some of the models seem outrageous in price ($400+). These would be for casual listening, not critical, but performance similar to a 4406 would be nice.

Monitor Audio from England has some very nice sounding in wall speakers.

None of the in-walls that I have heard sound as good as a pair of free standing speakers. Soffit mounted studio monitors not withstanding.
