    JBL LSR32 tweeter (053ti)

i have 3 or 4 of them now, as i've blown them in the past. Is there no way to recone these via a new diaphragm? It seems awfully silly to be purchasing new tweeter units if you didn't have to. Lucky JBL doesn't make cars, I'd hate to have to buy brand new engine everytime the alternator dies.

I heard that maybe the new tweeter 053tis is similar and cheaper. Not sure if this is an option. If anyone knows, LMK. Thank you in advance!

    regards

    steve

I've been watching them occasionally on ebay, and it seems that the opposite is true. The 053TiS is usually expensive, while the 053Ti is cheaper. I think that the only difference is the shielding.

    ah ok

but does that mean i should just be throwing these 053ti tweeters away? I keep saving them thinking that one day, they can be reconed or something....

Do you still have them!? A @_$* brown out has just sent several of mine to tweeter heaven.

Does anyone know of a decent place to get these things, at a cost that wont make me want to switch to Mackies

I'm specifically looking for JBL Part No 053TI

    Thanks!
