    Basic veneering question

Hate to sound dumb, but if you wanted to put new veneer on a speaker, do you have to remove the old veneer first? If so, what is the best way to do that?

    thanks

If the old veneer is sound I'd leave it. Ideally you should veneer it with your new grain running perpendicular to the old veneer's grain.
