Does a horn affect a drivers impedance?

My question comes from the fact that I'm planning to run my 2435's active with a tube amp. According to the tech notes the driver's lowest impedance is about 5.5 Ohms coupled to a plane wave tube. But what happens with the 2435 impedance curve when mounted on a H9800? Any big differencies?

    Thanks!

    Wink electromechanoacoustics

The acoustic impedance of a horn loads the diaphragm with a mechanical impedance. Remind you that acoustical impedance moves from air (radiating domain) to mechanical side through a transformer and moves again from mechanical to electrical side through another transformer

Hey, I thought you were the master measuring guy here, and you tell me you haven't measured the impedance of a 2435 on a H9800?
    Shame on you !!!

Do I understand You correctly if I assume that an open tractrix-like horn will possibly lower the impedance and a horn with a narrow throat/opening will make it higher?

What is really a plane wave tube (in swedish please)?

Guess I'll have to use the amps 4 Ohm outputs...

    Thanks all!

There it is. 5.1 Ohms at ~4 kHz.

    How many you want measured?

    Two, 5, 10 or 20?

Somebody send me a pair of the nice wood ones, and I'll do it....
