I guess General Audio discussion is as good a place as any to drop this nugget into. An old thread from the Single Driver Forum. Pairs nicely with "The Future...Loud And Clear." Between them they cover the pitfalls of the low and the high ends of our hobby. I think they both usually stink.

Had to look it up. Is that just a high-brow way of saying they have a problem producing the vocal "s" sound cleanly? A good stylus cleaning might help.

You got it right BMWCCA. This is a problem i find quite common. Both in domes, and lesser horn designs.

Many amplifiers and sources also have this tendency to congest the 6-7khz range where the "S" occours. Many speakers also have a little boost in this area to create an illusion of detailed sound.

Hehe Rich. I cant't say its a problem even without the Aquaplas. No Harshness here

i'm getting a pair of 2431's as well. Will be a intersting to compare them.
