tweeters for altec 870B system (420y woofer)

Hello, a happy 2008, I have the following question I am using an altec lansing 870B (420y woofer) with tweeters EV T-35 and XO EV 35 (3500 hz) these tweeters in high frequencies are not very good, I have been thinking of replacing by the eminence apt-50 or 80 good option
for my small budget? which suggest the experts, thanks

Use an Eminence APT 150 horn. looks like a Mantaray anyway.
Don't bother with a low pass to the Biflex. In + to a Mills 15-20 ohm 12W resistor in series with a 3 uf Poly Cap, to a 50 Watt Lpad to the 150. Works great with far lower electrical load to the HF than the original tweeter setup as used with other Biflex speakers like the Santana, way better than any T35. JIM
