Ok guys, I am writing an overview to the ALTEC 604 and need a bit of information. While I am quite well versed in the workings of the different variants, I am a bit hazy on some of the model's tenure of production including the 605A and B.
My Dad keep complete binders of all the ALTEC mailings and price sheets, but in three moves of the company, they have disappeared, I have my suspicions, but.... and Iconic partner Mike Jordan lost his even more extensive Library in the 2004 Communication’s Company fire. I have all the later dates, G model onward and have a feeling for the D and up, but perhaps not accurately. I know the dates of the original 601 and 604 and I think the 604B starts in 1949.
I got into the 604s in the late 60s, my first pair were E's got them about 1970. What I don't know is the 50s-60s dates.
Any help would be appreciated. JIM
